Background here is that in the mid 1960s, Bill Owen, who ran City Transit, made deals with Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Dallas and Milwaukee to obtain gently used line poles. These poles were used to construct extensions on Routes 2, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9. Pictured here is a Milwaukee pole, which Russ claims as his own.
